Mr. Syed Salman Ali Shah – Chairman & Independent Director

Mr. Salman Ali Shah is a prominent Economist and holds a PhD in Finance from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business. He is the Chairman of Board of Directors at MSD Tire & Rubber Company.
Previously, Mr. Salman Shah has been teaching finance for more than 16 years at institutions such as University of Michigan Indiana University, University of Toronto, and Lahore University of Management Sciences. He was known to be the most highly educated and competent professional to serve the Government. During his time as in charge of Pakistan’s finance ministry (2004–2008), Pakistan’s economy registered an average of 7% GDP growth per annum, one of the highest in the world. He has served as Economic consultant, to different Pakistani governments, Chairman of Privatization Commission, Member, Board of Governors – Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Member, Board of Directors – Pakistan International Airlines. Member, Central Board of Directors – State Bank of Pakistan (2002–2003). Member, of various governments’ task forces.

Mr. Salman Ali Shah was also appointed as a member of the task force on investment which gave recommendations to the Board of Investment to increase investments in the country. Dr. Salman Shah has also founded Bridge Asia Financial Services in 2009 with the primary aim to establish a world class financial advisory firm in Pakistan and the South Asian region.

Mr. Muhammad Muntaha Ashraf – CEO & Executive Director

Mr. Muhammad Muntaha Ashraf is the Chief Executive Officer at MSD Tire & Rubber Company. His association with the company dates back to 2012. Mr. Ashraf is the co-founder of the Company and has previously been working as Chief Operating Officer. As a CEO, he oversees control of diverse business operations and is responsible to align the operations of the organization to meet its business goals and projections.

He has been involved in designing and implementing new business verticals to the group such as MSD Retail, MSD logistics and played an instrumental role in bringing the concept of tire retreading to Pakistan. Previously, Mr. Ashraf has worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in London. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and completed his Bachelor of Accountancy and Finance from University of Manchester in 2009. He is also a member of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mr. Dilawar Abbas – Independent Director

Mr. Abbas has a vast experience of more than 30 years in the Petroleum Sector. Currently, he is working as the Chairman of Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL). Previously, He has served as CEO of Attock Chemical (Private) Limited. He has been the Chief Representative of the Attock Group in Pakistan which had ten companies operating in the country. After staying at the most important positions; Mr.Abbas ventured to establish the Priority Group in the year 1995 having its head office in Islamabad.

Mr. Abbas served as an elected Member of the Upper House, Senate of Pakistan from Punjab during 2003-2009 He has also served as the Chairman of Senate Standing Committee of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Member of Senate Standing Committee of Defense and Defense Production, Member of Senate Standing Committee on Government Assurances, Member of Senate Standing Committee on Industries and Production, Member of Prime Minister Task Force on WTO, and Member Parliamentary Committee on Water Resources of Pakistan. Mr. Dilawar Abbas has attended conferences, representing Pakistan as part of the Government delegations led by the Finance Minister and the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Davos for participating in the World Economic Forum in the years 1991 and 1992.

Mr. Dilawar Abbas obtained his Law Degree – LLB from Law College – Lahore University of the Punjab, Pakistan. He is also a graduate of Government College Lahore, one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions of Pakistan. The major interests are in the field of Telecommunications, Information Technology & Business Management, consultancy, especially for the corporate sector.

Mr. Muhammad Farooq Khan – Independent Director

Mr. Farooq Khan is a qualified chartered accountant by profession from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He has more than 15 years of experience. He started his professional career from KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co. Chartered Accountants and is currently running his own chartered accountancy firm.

He has experience of working with one of the largest telecom service providers in Pakistan. His experience ranges from financial reviews through external audits, risk advisory and taxation to detailed planning, design and implementation. His industrial knowledge and wide market exposure allows him to have a more comprehensive perspective to any project. His core competency includes strategic financial planning and taxation.

Ms. Nazish Afraz – Independent Director

Ms. Nazish Afraz is currently serving as a Teaching Fellow at Lahore University of Management and Sciences (LUMS). Before working in LUMS, she served as a Consultant at Europe Economics, London for 3 years.

Ms. Afraz has completed her MPhil in Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science.

Mr. Rana Khalid – Independent Director

Mr. Rana Khalid has completed his Bachelors of Arts in Economics, Political Science and History from FC College, Lahore (Punjab University). Currently; he is working as an Executive Vice President at EFU General Insurance Limited and also serving as the Managing Partner of Arham Industries Limited.

Mr. Zubair Ahmed Khan – Independent Director

Mr. Zubair Khan has worked as Coordinator Public Affairs, Ministry of Human Resource Development. He has a vast experience in carrying tasks pertaining to well- being and capacity building of Human Capital.

Currently he is serving as the Pioneer Trustee at Khubaib Foundation and Managing Director at Pakistanbul.
